Interpretation: If a reasonable person would understand the consumer's words to be a request to stop calls, you must honor it. This means training agents to recognize even informal or frustrated language.
10-Business-Day Compliance (U.S. TCPA - Effective April 11, 2025):
Accelerated Processing: You must process and honor DNC requests within 10 business days of receiving them. This is a significant reduction from the previous 30-day window.
Automation is Key: Manual processing within this timeframe is extremely difficult for even moderate call volumes. Invest in CRM integrations and automated DNC management software that can quickly update contact records and suppress numbers.
